이번 문화수업에서 한국 가요에 대해 배웠어요. 박선생님의 발표는 아주 재밌었고 덕분에 옛날 한국 음악을 알게 됐어요. 학생들이 주로 요즘 K-POP만 알고 있는데, 이번 기회를 통해 지식을 넓어진 것 같아서 좋았어요.

발표 끝난 후에 노래를 같이 불렸어요. 박선생님이 선택한 곡은 “오빠야”라는 곡이였어요. 그  노래를 들었을 때 빵 터졌어요 ㅋㅋ 그 곡이 애교가 많은 곡으로 유명한데 반 중에서 애교를 굉장히 싫어 하는 사람 몇 명 있어서 웃겼어요. 부를 때 좀 오글거렸지만 그래도 잘 불렀고 재밌는 시간을 보냈어요.

This week during culture class, we learned from Park 선생님 about Korean popular music and it’s history. The presentation she gave was really interesting and it was cool to hear the evolution of Korean pop music, since the furthest back my knowledge goes is basically with first generation K-pop groups haha. After we learned about the history, we sang a bit of “Oppaya” which reached fame with Lovelyz’s Kei doing aegyo to the song on Weekly Idol. The cutesy nature of the song of course drew many a cringe from the aegyo-haters of the group, especially Kota. It was still fun, though, and we all felt a sense of accomplishment when we were able to get through the first verse and chorus without too much trouble.
